Our Endorsements for November 2021
We take our endorsements seriously and we don’t just back any candidate. We back changemakers ready to implement real systematic change. Coalition builders with the experience of building meaningful partnerships. And of course, we back the candidates with the strongest platform and vision too better the lives and communities of formerly incarcerated people.
Candidate Spotlights
Over the past few weeks, we’ve sat down with candidates from various races across Orleans Parish to better understand where these different people asking for our vote in November stand on the issues. More importantly, to give you the voter the opportunity to make a conscious choice when you go to the polls.
November 2021 Survey Responses
In July 2021, over 60 candidates qualified to run for office in the upcoming November Primary Election. After community input, we sent surveys to each of them. Each race, from the Mayor to the Sheriff down to each city council district. We asked questions ranging from housing security to supporting FIP mentorship, addressing homelessness, laying out plans for the future of the city jail, and much more. Below you’ll find links to each race we’ve collected survey responses from thus far and invite you to read through and get a better picture of where each of these candidates vying for your vote stands on the issues that most impact our community.
