District D Dual Endorsement
Remember in conversation that our goal is to elevate both of theses candidates. This is a crowded field with 14 candidates vying for the seat and it is our opinion as Voters Organized that EITHER Troy or Kevin would be great choices to represent District D! We have provide thorough information on our website (VotersOrganized.org) including, their survey responses, campaign websites, and interviews to help Voters make a conscious decision on Election Day!
Troy Glover and Kevin Griffin-Clark for NOLA City Council District D
Why Troy and Kevin?
Troy Glover and Kevin Griffin Clark (District D) each have a clear and sustainable vision for New Orleans. We co-endorsed in this election because we see them each as thoughtful and creative leaders who have the work ethic we need to build a new City Council. Both of these young men have been directly impacted by mass incarceration, as so many of our families have across the Crescent City. They are each an inspiring example of what our community can look like when we build together.

Why were not endorsing in City Council District E
District E has several solid candidates in the race including someone who we generally agree with around issues of criminal justice reform. However, given recent events around the television series jailbirds for which the sheriff was seen exploiting incarcerated people for money, along with participating parties, we have decided to withhold our endorsement in the November 2021 primary election for City Council District E. This is an issue that is very near and dear to our hearts and its difficult to stand beside anyone who has profited off of that show at this time. In everything that we do, our community comes first.
